1. Zoological Museum

weaverhallmuseum – As the name suggests, this zoological museum contains various collections and various historical information about Indonesia’s wild life. Many animal skeletons are preserved, such as crabs, fish, insects, birds, blue whales and others.

This site has been established since 1894 and was started by J. C Koningsberger, a botanist from Germany who was also one of the pioneers and developers of the Bogor Botanical Gardens. He collected various collections, most of which came from Indonesia, then the rest from various countries.

This zoological museum is located in the Bogor Botanical Gardens area, right between the Treub Laboratory building and the Nusa Indah Farmhouse. The Zoological Museum is open Monday to Friday from 08:00. to 16:00, from Saturday to Sunday from 8:00 am. at 17.00. Ticket prices start from IDR 15,000 per person on weekdays and from IDR 25,000 per person on weekends.

2. Balai Kirti Presidential Museum

The Balai Kirti Presidential Museum is located in the Bogor Presidential Palace Complex. There is a lot of information about the history of the Indonesian presidential administration from year to year. This museum was inaugurated on October 18 2014 by President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono.

For your information, you cannot enter this museum carelessly because this museum is located in the Bogor Presidential Palace complex. Prospective visitors must first submit a letter of application to the Head of the Bogor Presidential Palace Museum and Cultural Heritage.

Even though you have to fill out a registration form, you don’t need to pay to visit this museum. Tour hours are Tuesday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM and Saturday through Sunday from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

3. National Museum of Indonesian Natural History

The National Museum of Natural History of Indonesia was previously called the Indonesian Ethnobotany Museum. This museum contains a lot of information and history about Indonesia’s flora and biological ecosystem. This museum was inaugurated by Prof. Dr.

The Indonesian National Natural History Museum is located at the Biology Research Center – LIPI, on Jalan H. Juanda Number 22-24. This museum is open every day from 08.00 to 16.00, with ticket prices of IDR 15,000 on weekdays and IDR 25,000 on weekends.

4. Bogor Battle Museum
If you are interested in the history of the heroes’ struggle to expel the invaders, the Bogor Battle Museum is worth visiting. The museum, which was inaugurated by Major Ishak Djuarsah on November 10 1957, contains a lot of information ranging from coin collections, traditional weapons, modern weapons used by heroes, and much more.

The place is at No. 56 Jalan Merdeka, Parung Jambu Village, Ciwaringin. The Bogor Museum is open every day from 08.00 to 16.00. The ticket price is only IDR 10,000 per person.

5. Earth and Agriculture Museum

The Earth and Agriculture Museum provides educational information about all things Earth. The information includes the diversity of the archipelago’s soil, history, the glory of Indonesian agriculture, agricultural products, programs and policies, as well as views on the future of agriculture.

The Land and Agriculture Museum was founded on September 29 1988, which was previously the Voor Agrogeologie en Grond Onderzoek laboratory building or agrogeology and soil research laboratory, which was founded during the Dutch government around the 1900s. n
The Land and Agriculture Museum is located on Jalan Ir H. Juanda number 98, Central Bogor Regency. Open every Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday from 09.00 to 15.00 and Saturday from 09.00 to 12.00. There is no entrance fee which means you can visit this museum for free.

6. PETA Museums and Monuments
Do you remember TNI or PETA? This museum in Bogor is one of the museums that shows how PETA’s struggle was able to expel the invaders. Collections that you can enjoy include reliefs or monuments related to the formation of PETA troops, PETA’s battles against invaders, statues, war equipment, cannons and other weapons.

The PETA Museum and Monument is located on Jalan Jenderal Sudirman 35. The museum is open Monday to Friday from 08.00 to 17.00, Saturday from 09.00 to 17.00, and Sunday from 10.00 to 17.00. There is no entry fee or free.

If you are bored with museums that only contain historical information, maybe this museum in Bogor could be an option. Bucket List is one of the largest basketball museums in Asia. Here there are many collections that tell about the development of basketball at home and abroad.

In addition, there are collections from the 1990s from Scottie Pippen, Dennis Rodman, Kobe Bryant, and Michael Jordan. There is a nice memorabilia gallery with rotating works, a cafe and an inner courtyard.

8. IPB Museum
This museum displays the development of the Bogor Agricultural Institute from time to time. Many IPB works can also be seen here. Even though it is located within the IPB complex, the Bogor Museum is not only intended for IPB residents and students, visitors from abroad can also enter this museum.

9. Sandwind Museum
